19th Science Projects Workshop in the Future Classroom Lab

The 19th Science Projects Workshop in the Future Classroom Lab, organised by the Triseum Pilot and STEM Alliance, took place in Brussels in February 2018, from Friday 16 (starting time: 19:30) to Sunday 18 (end ~13:30h).

In total 51 participants, including 37 teachers from 10 countries joined the event.

After a common programme including presentations from:

  • Triseum
  • STEM Alliance

Participants were split depending on the project they are working on:

The 18 Triseum Pilot teachers from Greece, Italy, Poland, Norway and Portugal, continued their work to create learning scenarios on the two educational games they are currently testing (on Arts and Calculus: Limits) in their classrooms, discussed about the inegration of games in their everyday practice, planned their work for the upcoming months and provided feedback to both Triseum and the colleagues in charge of the evaluation in this pilot project, from the University of Würzburg .

The STEM Alliance participants (14 winners of the STEM Ahead competition plus 5 teachers from the Agrupamento de Escolas Marinhas do Sal - Rio Maior (Portugal), including their Head of School Carlos Ribeiro, that were able to join thanks to a EC Erasmus+ KA1 grant) learned about how to integrate new technologies and rethink education from the sugegstions in European Schoolnet's Future Classroom Lab, how to use the latest Texas Instruments technology, played with the eConfidence games, discussed about STEM careers and skills for the future, the STEM Alliance Professionals Go back to school initiative, and more.
