Session 4: School collaboration

4.1 Involving students in Maths eTwinning projects
Irina Vasilescu, Scoala cu clasele I-VIII, nr 195, Romania

Abstract
The presentation is focused on a few ways to enhance the degree of students’ involvement in projects as well as on specifi c examples of activities from several eTwinning Maths projects. Due to the specifi c features of Maths projects and to the reputedly “arid” nature of the subject, they should  have an incentive aspect, which can be achieved though the types of activities that are planned, the degree of collaboration and the tools that are used. Mathematics can thus become a “vehicle” for learning about the partners and for the mutual understanding of our cultural environment.
