How can educators bring real-world STEM careers into the classroom and inspire students to see themselves in these future paths? This session offered practical insights and ready-to-use strategies for teachers aiming to spark ambition and interest in STEM careers.
You will hear from a dedicated teacher who plays a key role in shaping students’ interest in STEM, as well as STEM industry professionals from Cummins, who will share their personal journeys and advice. Together, they will present inspiring resources, classroom practices, and ways to engage students with authentic STEM role models.

SPEAKERS
Stuart Naismith
Stuart Naismith is a Scottish primary teacher and award-winning STEM educator whose voluntary work has inspired learners in more than 20 countries. Since 2017, he has created over 500 free STEM education videos, recognised by the Children’s University, and his A to Z of STEM Careers has reached 400+ teachers worldwide. He has written for Empowering Women in STEM and the ASE Primary Science Journal, and delivered CPD sessions internationally. His work, centred on inclusion and diversity, has earned the RSC Excellence in Primary Education Prize, the Prime Minister’s Points of Light Award, and two Scientix Awards in 2025.
Dr. Zeynep Bruce
Senior Supplier Quality Director and Global SQ4.0 Leader at Cummins Inc.
Dr. Zeynep Bruce is the Senior Supplier Quality Director and Global SQ4.0 Leader at Cummins Inc., where she spearheads global initiatives in supplier quality and digital transformation. With a robust foundation in engineering and quality systems, she drives innovation and operational excellence across complex global supply chains. Her career journey began in civil engineering and evolved into mechanical engineering, blending deep technical expertise with systematic process thinking and strategic leadership. Over time, she has cultivated a unique ability to integrate science, systems, and strategy—qualities that define her global leadership role. Dr. Bruce is also a certified Master Black Belt in Six Sigma. A passionate advocate for mentorship, she has benefited from guidance throughout her career and now actively gives back by mentoring others. She leads and collaborates with cross-regional teams spanning EMEA, North America, India, China, Latin America, and beyond. Committed to advancing STEM education and talent development, Dr. Bruce supports outreach programs that inspire and empower the next generation of engineers and scientists.
Luigi Prisco
Industry Partnership Coordinator, EUN
Luigi Prisco is the Industry Partnership Coordinator at EUN. His role focuses on building, cultivating, and strengthening long-term relationships with industry partners, ensuring their active engagement in EUN’s mission to support educators, advance education across Europe, develop essential skills in young students, and promote STEM careers. He holds a Master’s degree in International Relations from the University of Rome “La Sapienza".
