Team Leader - Secondary Education
Hi, I’m Arancha. I studied teaching and have attended various courses in different areas. Right now, I
work at Accelera in the Guadalajara plant in Spain, where I’m a team leader. I lead a team that assembles electrolyzers. My job is to organize the team, make sure the assembly process runs smoothly, and that everything is done safely and correctly.
Meet the professional
My job involves guiding, helping, and teaching a team of assemblers to build electrolyzers. We use
different technical tools like reading blueprints (detailed plans that outline how electrolyzers should be built, including positions, measurements, and details) and following precise assembly steps to make sure everything fits and works correctly.
Electrolyzers are machines that use the scientific process of electrolysis — a chemical reaction that splits water molecules (H₂O) into oxygen, which we release safely into the atmosphere, and hydrogen, which we use as clean, green energy. This work combines science (understanding the chemical reaction), technology (using technical drawings and tools to understand machines), engineering (assembling complex machines), and math (measuring and following exact instructions). All these STEM skills are essential to produce efficient and safe electrolyzers that help create sustainable energy.

Skills
Technical Skills
"need to be able to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints, and apply that knowledge to systematically analyze why certain assembly processes might not be working and what could be done to solve these issues.”
Interpersonal Skills
“I am also responsible for monitoring my team’s progress, tasks are completed on time and products are delivered as scheduled.”
Active Listening and Motivation
“I make it a priority to understand my colleagues’ perspectives, encourage them to use their abilities in the best way, and ensure that everyone’s contributions are recognized and valued.”
Collaboration
“Building electrolyzers involves close coordination among multiple teams, making collaboration an essential part of the job. Success depends on effective communication, mutual respect, and a shared commitment to use each team’s expertise to solve complex problems.”
Advice to take away
My advice to students is to choose careers and studies you are passionate about. Keep exploring all the
areas that interest you and try to improve a little bit every day, without getting frustrated if things take
time. With genuine interest, motivation, and perseverance, anyone can reach their goals, no matter
how big.
