MIXAP-EU (Mixed Reality Authoring Applications for and by Teachers in Europe)
Description
MIXAP-EU (Mixed Reality Authoring Applications for and by Teachers in Europe) is an Erasmus+ research project that aims to support teachers in integrating Mixed Reality (MR) into their classrooms. It brings together researchers, technology experts, and practising teachers to explore practical ways of making MR accessible and easy to use in everyday teaching.
The project aims to develop an open-source authoring tool that will enable teachers to create personalised Augmented and Mixed Reality learning activities without requiring advanced technical skills. It also seeks to provide practical guidelines for integrating these technologies into existing curricula and to foster an international community where educators can share ideas, resources, and experiences.
MIXAP follows a co-design approach with teachers ensuring that the proposed tools and resources are relevant to classroom practice and meet teachers' needs. Overall, MIXAP seeks to demonstrate how Augmented and Mixed Reality can support teaching and learning and differentiated instruction, increase pupils' motivation and curiosity, and make learning more visual, hands-on, and inclusive.
This work was co-funded by the Mixed Reality Authoring Applications for and by Teachers in Europe. (MIXAP-EU) project (2024-1-FR01-KA220-SCH-000245309) is co-funded by the European Union under the Erasmus+ Program, Cooperation Partnerships in School Education (KA220-SCH). It also received funding for the Pays de la Loire region, in France.
