On November 28, 2023, we invited teachers to join us for an online webinar and workshop, hosted by the EU4Ocean coalition and in collaboration with Scientix. During the 30-minute webinar, we introduce the concepts of ocean literacy and how it can be integrated into education through the European Blue Schools initiative. We dive into the importance of understanding our oceans, not only as an invaluable source of biodiversity and a critical element in addressing global environmental challenges but also as a powerful tool in education. Finally, we learn how European Blue Schools are taking the lead in promoting ocean awareness within educational institutions, inspiring students to become ocean stewards.
