Thanks for your active participation these last few days! &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Unfortunately the Spice project ended and no webinars will be organized. But chats will be set up in the framework of the inGenious project (which you can find under Projects in the Scientix portal too!). When inGenious sets the calendar of chats, we&amp;#39;ll announce it here as well and you will be able to join.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;PS.     <summary type="html">Thomas Roche, a Spice and Scientix teacher from Ireland was telling me that every year they have standardize tests in literacy and numeracy (national exams). So in a way the literacy exams should take into account the additional skills learnt during IBSME lessons but are quite limited.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;(They look more for comprehension and fluency).</summary>

    <summary type="html">Interesting people at POGIL. I like the quote they have: &amp;#34;Knowledge is personal. Students enjoy themselves more and develop greater ownership over material when given the opportunity to construct their own understanding.&amp;#34; It is not true only in the case of students. I think once of the successes of Spice has been that the Spice teachers were the owners of the materials and, at the end of the day, the project itself&amp;#34;. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;At the same time, it says: &lt;br /&gt;&amp;#34;Students who are part of an interactive community are more likely to be successful.&amp;#34; and &amp;#34;Learning is not a solitary task&amp;#34; &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;So knowledge might be personal but learning is done better in communities...</summary>

    <summary type="html">Hi to everyone coming to the Scientix conference, &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;the Science Team at European Schoolnet, in charge of organizing the Scientix conference, is having fun finalizing the programme, confirming participants attendance, preparing the contents for the conference bags, double checking the abstracts, disseminating the conference and the portal... &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Quite hectic! &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I look forward to the conference and meeting most of you and learning about your experiences in Science education and with Scientix. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;And during this month,&lt;strong&gt; I look forward to reading here what are your expectations on the conference&lt;/strong&gt; and learning more about the participants. We are going to be 400+ people so if we start exchanging information, it will be easier for all in May.
