It’s back-to-school season! Bring Scientix® resources to class this autumn
Summer is over, and we hope all of you hard-working teachers got some well-deserved rest and are energised again… It’s time to get back to the classroom!
Scientix® is committed to bringing you the best pedagogical resources to help you in your teaching, covering a wide range of STEM education topics and age groups. For this reason, during the fall, we will spotlight the teaching materials created by the educational projects and the industry partners we collaborate with. Some of these resources are already on Scientix, and some will be brand new for you to discover, and we’re very excited to share them with you!
In the coming months, we will give you plenty of inspiration and ideas to spark your creativity and to create educational activities to then pin on the 2027 STEM Discovery Campaign map. This will be your moment to learn new pedagogies, gather educational insights, implement our teaching materials in your classes or share your experience using them with students!
What resources can you expect, and which projects developed them for you?
Here's a look at what's ready and what’s coming your way this autumn:
BUSTIC EDU
BUSTIC EDU has organised for you a full week of events and opportunities dedicated to environmental sustainability education! The ‘Scientix® Environmental Sustainability Education Community Gathering’ taking place from 7 to 11 September will include week-long online events, and each session will address a distinct aspect of environmental sustainability learning and teaching. Are you part of the education community and want to start your own sustainability journey? Read more information on how to participate in the events here and check out the Community Gathering poster here!

Scientix® STEM Alliance members
Through the Scientix® STEM Alliance, we partner with STEM industry leaders to bring educators state-of-the-art teaching resources and tech, empowering tools and platforms, and the support they need to bring their practice to the 21st century and bridge the STEM skills gap. Last year we launched a brochure listing all the teaching resources developed by our partners, and for this fall, we published a new updated version! Click here to check it out!
OUTSTE(A)M
OUTSTE(A)M has revolutionised early childhood education with a groundbreaking toolkit designed to spark curiosity, critical thinking, and creativity in young learners and to transform outdoor learning into a dynamic integrated STEM / STE(A)M adventure. The toolkit includes job profiles, games, learning scenarios, guidelines, recommendations and more. We put the toolkit and the OUTSTE(A)M resources in one gallery page so you can easily access them. Check the page and download the resources here!

Buzzing Schools
Buzzing Schools, part of the European Commission’s Youth for Pollinators Pilot Project under the EU Pollinators Initiative, developed by European Schoolnet® and Poppins & Wayne, will engage young people in pollinator conservation, fostering care and action for the environment from an early age. The project will develop an educational toolkit in collaboration with teachers and non-formal educators to introduce children and young people aged 9 to 16 to the topics of pollinator decline and biodiversity.
Stay tuned for the release of the toolkit. In the meantime, discover what it will include and catch up on the latest project updates.

LOESS
LOESS focuses on increasing soil literacy through education and has developed various teaching resources and learning scenarios to accomplish this mission. The project’s learning scenarios are classroom-ready lesson plans for learners aged 11–18, and they integrate STEM and social perspectives to help students understand soil as a living system. Do you want to improve your students' soil literacy? Then check all the learning scenarios in 13 different languages here!
Additionally, in 2025, with the support of Scientix, LOESS launched the “Soil Education: a STEM Integrated Approach” MOOC, designed to guide educators in transforming their STEM teaching by integrating soil education into their curricula. Read more about the MOOC and access its materials here!

CROPS
The CROPS project vision is that the next generation of citizen science activities fully realises its potential at a transnational level, with shared objectives targeted towards EU Mission goals. To achieve this, CROPS has developed, together with Scientix, a series of learning scenarios that bring citizen science straight into the classroom. Click here to learn what they’re about and to download them all!
If you’re interested in learning how to create your own learning scenario, CROPS launched the “From classroom to impact: Addressing societal challenges with citizen science” MOOC. The online course, which ran during the fall of last year, taught educators how to design citizen science experiences tailored to your school and community. Access the MOOC’s content and learn more about it here!

WindEurope
WindEurope, in partnership with the Scientix® STEM Alliance, has just released four new curriculum-ready learning scenarios on wind energy! We wrote a full news article about them, who they’re for, which topics they deal with, and more. Read it here!

ICSE STEAM Vision:
The ICSE STE(A)M Vision project, launched in 2026, empowers teachers as STE(A)M visionaries by building a sustainable European partnership for integrated STE(A)M teacher education. Through interdisciplinary collaboration, accessible international mobility formats, and strong policy dialogue, the project co-creates innovative teacher training modules that connect STEM disciplines with real-world challenges and foster systemic change across Europe. The project is currently working on its teaching resources for you, watch this space so you don’t miss them!
Are you ready to bring STEM resources to your classroom this fall? Implement them and let us know what your experience was like in the 2027 STEM Discovery Campaign! Stay tuned to the Scientix® Digest to not miss any upcoming teaching materials!
We can’t wait to see what you will create!
