From the Flower to the Comb: Buzzing Schools put pollinator conservation at the heart of education
A part of the framework of the European Union’s Pilot Project “Youth for Pollinators”, Buzzing Schools engages young people in pollinator conservation, fostering care and action for the environment from an early age.
Conducted by European Schoolnet® through its Scientix® initiative and by Poppins & Waynes, the project is developing an Educational Toolkit with teachers and non-formal educators to support interdisciplinary teaching and raise awareness of biodiversity through engaging, age-appropriate activities for learners aged 9 to 16. The resources will include learning scenarios, lesson plans, non-formal activities, career profiles, and an optimised version of Pollinator Park, an interactive experience for web and VR.
