A complete Resource in Empowering Teachers for STEAME PBL is now available
The EU-funded STEAME Teacher Facilitators Academy is strengthening support for educators across Europe in the design and implementation of STEAME (Science-Technology-Engineering-Arts-Mathematics-Entrepreneurship) Project-Based Learning (PBL).
Through an integrated framework of resources, certification, collaboration and co-creation, the Academy helps serving teachers to lead innovation in their schools and communities while student teachers can complete university studies ready to support STEAME PBL in school education.
Teachers now have access to the STEAME Observatory Platform — a complete online hub that offers open access ready-to-use interdisciplinary PBL design scenarios, Learning & Creativity Plans in 10 languages, classroom templates, case studies, and assessment tools. The platform also connects educators in a growing professional network for sharing practices and co-developing ideas.
The STEAME Teacher Facilitator Certification, also available in 10 languages, is offered as a micro-credential by the European Federation of STEAME Teacher Facilitators Academies, provides formal fully competence based recognition for educators skilled in designing and implementing STEAME-Project-Based Learning.
Teachers and future teachers can review the Path to Certification for details on the process of completion. Applications are submitted through a Regional STEAME Academy where available, or directly to the Federation when a regional academy has not yet been established.
Looking ahead, the European STEAME Academies Conference will take place during 12-16 March 2026 in Paphos, Cyprus, bringing together educators, researchers, and policymakers to exchange ideas, showcase best practices, and shape the future of interdisciplinary learning in Europe. Programme highlights are already published. The registration is free for the first 170 registered participants.
The conference is set “under the Auspices of the Cyprus Presidency of the Council of the EU 2026”.
Educators and researchers are invited to submit their abstracts and register for participation.
A limited number of co-funding awards, equivalent to subsistence expenses, is available for those traveling from 200 km away. Apply through the online registration for participation.
Through these development and initiatives, the STEAME Teacher Facilitators Academy promotes a culture of creativity, collaboration, and evidence-based innovation — helping schools turn STEAME learning into everyday classroom reality.
