EdTech snapshots: SETT, Stockholm
This spring and summer, EmpowerED organises a campaign of 7 events in different European countries, each aiming to reach educators and other EdTech stakeholders and get a snapshot of their local ecosystem. Our first stop was in April at SETT Stockholm!
SETT Stockholm is a meeting place for education professionals, where they can be inspired, learn about new technologies and products, and network with others in the field. This year's theme was 'Pedagogy, innovation and tradition - Building on strong foundations', offering inspiration on how we can combine proven methods with new insights to promote the development of the competences that are important both today and in the future.
The lingering question was: How do we know we are on the right track? To answer this question, EmpowerED organised a series of ‘Booth talks’ related to:
- How national priorities are shaping the future of EdTech in schools, by Willem Schoors (Flemish Government). Watch part 1 and part 2.
- How Finland is leading the way in testbed design — with a spotlight on Tekla, a mobile classroom-in-a-container that travels to different school districts, Antti Värtö (City of Helsinki). Watch here.
- How setting up testing environments and cross-Europe collaboration is to the benefit of educators and learners, not only EdTech developers, by Christina Makarona (European Schoolnet). Watch here.
