The ‘Bridging the Digital Divide in Education’ project will support underprivileged educational centres

Research highlights numerous benefits of integrating technology in the classroom, including enhanced student management, personalised learning, and efficient assessment and feedback. Unfortunately, not all schools have the budget to equip their classrooms with technological devices, posing significant challenges for educators attempting to implement new pedagogical approaches.

To address this issue, the Scientix STEM Alliance, in collaboration with Xiaomi, a consumer electronics and manufacturing company with smart devices connected by an IoT platform at its core, is launching a new initiative on 1 February titled “Bridging the digital divide in education”. This initiative aims to identify schools, science clubs or other educational centres in Europe with the least access to technology, understand the challenges and needs of educators in underprivileged settings, and provide the necessary technological tools and training to enhance education.
