Directorate General for Innovation and Educational Technologies, Ministry of National Education

The Directorate General for Innovation and Educational Technologies is a public foundation under the Ministry of National Education in Turkey. The activities of the Directorate can be summarized as follows:

• Supporting teaching and learning using educational technologies appropriate to formal education curriculum programmes.
• Investigating and evaluating new educational technologies and developments for their use in school across Turkey.
• Ensuring educational technology opportunities are widely and effectively used by teachers and students.
• Carrying out studies on the usage of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) in education.
• Organising and developing teacher training activities in ICT use in education.
• Preparing and publishing ICT-based audiovisual educational materials for all levels of the formal education curriculum programmes.
