Technical University of MoldovaTechnical University of Moldova (TUM) is the only higher technical educational institution, accredited by the State in the Republic of Moldova. Since its establishment in 1964, the university has trained more than 80 000 engineers and economists. The studies at TUM are organized within 9 faculties with a professorial-didactic and engineering teaching staff of over 733 lecturers, including about 314 lecturers with scientific-pedagogical titles in academics, doctors habilitate, doctors of Sciences, associated and university professors and senior lecturers. TUM is a member of various networks and associations such as Black Sea Region Universities Network, Francophone Agency, European Universities Association and Danubian Rectors Conference, and cooperates with more than 75 universities and scientific centres from different countries. The fundamental mission of the Technical University of Moldova is to provide quality education, by combining education, research and innovation, to the younger generation that will contribute to building a society and sustainable economy based on knowledge and to form a student personality of a creative and critical type. From October 2018, the Ministry of Education, Research and Culture of Moldova has transferred the managing of eTwinningPlus projects to TUM and the experience gathered will be used to promote Scientix and STEM subjects. |
