8.1 Pupils do their own precise measurments with AUDACITY

Abstract
AUDACITY is a freeware for music processing. In addition to other interesting features it can measure short periods of time (up to 0.1 microseconds). It allows you to measure fall time, engine speed, the speed of sound or the speed of a bullet. All you need is a computer and a microphone. Most of students own this equipment - they can easily enter home measurements and do their home projects.
