3.4 Science Created by You - putting science in the hands of the learner

Abstract
The philosophy behind the “Science Created by You” (SCY) FP7 project is that learning science is a process of creating knowledge by learners. SCY offers 12-18 year-old learners a set of tools to engage in scientific endeavours. The products of learners work, called Emerging Learning Objects, can be stored in a repository and shared with fellow learners. SCY has created its basic toolset as well as three missions that are currently evaluated in schools.
