In simple words, NBS are actions that use nature to solve human challenges to achieve sustainability. NBS are cost-effective and simultaneously provide environmental, social, and economic benefits and help build resilience by bringing more, and more diverse, nature and natural features and processes into cities, landscapes, and seascapes.

Soon after its launch in spring 2025, BUSTIC EDU began to lay the groundwork of its upcoming Sustainability in Education Programme with a focus on introducing sustainability competences through GreenComp in formal education in each of its three streams - early childhood education and care (ECEC), primary and secondary education.
