The 3nd Scientix Projects’ Networking Event will take place on Friday 20th February 2015 in Brussels:
- in conjunction with the 5th Science Projects Workshop in the Future Classroom Lab (20 - 22 February 2015) with ~50 STEM teachers from across Europe.
With the theme “Teachers participation in STEM projects: how, when, who”, the event will bring together a maximum of 30 project representatives from European and national science education projects to disseminate their activities, discuss common issues and start new collaborations.
The one-day workshop will include:
9:00 - 9:30 Registration
9:30 - 10:00 Welcome
10:00 - 12:00 Brief presentation of projects present, highlighting how they work with teachers
12:00 - 13:00 Lunch
13:00 - 16:00 Discussion / exchange session on:
Teachers' participation in STEM projects: how are they involved, when to involve them, who to involve exactly, etc. (moderated by Scientix)
16:00 - 17:00 Conclusions and farewell
Important notes:
- The registration for the event is free of charge;
- Lunch will be provided for all participants;
- Travel is at the participants' expenses;
- Up to 10 projects attending the event on Friday, will be welcome to join the 5th Science Projects Workshop in the Future Classroom Lab on Saturday 21st and run a 45' workshop with ~20 participants and present in 10' their project to all ~50 participants;
- Scientix will organize and cover one night of accommodation of participants on Thursday 19th February, if needed;
- For projects staying until Saturday to present during the event, Scientix will organize and cover the hotel both Thursday 19th and Friday 20th, if needed;
- Projects can send more than one representative, but Scientix will organize and cover the hotel for only one representative per project;
- Deadline to register: 5th of February or until all places are taken;
- The projects must be public funded and either be included in the Scientix projects' repository or in the process of being published;
- This event is NOT open to projects created without official endorsement (i.e. they must have public funding be it regional, national or EU) , nor self-funded projects or school projects (teacher's projects).
