9.3 Visualising the invisible in Science Centers and Museums

Abstract
The talk presents the EXPLOAR project which promotes using augmented reality to connect formal and informal learning environments. The EXPLOAR approach looked upon informal education as an opportunity to move beyond traditional science museum visits to a “feel and interact” user experience, allowing for learning anytime, anywhere, open to societal changes and at the same time becoming culturally aware.
