My favourite links and those of my colleagues in other science areas are most of the links offered in the Inspire project. The web page is

Apart from that, I like to start a wiki with my students, in some projects.

i have not returned to the Spice communities for a few weeks and i see a lot of action recently! tha's very good and very promising. Now that the school term has restarted, this will be a good source of information, materials and interaction among us members.

i wish to contribute with a link from a recent visit to Bogotá, where they have a long experience in a program for elementary schools that uses interactive engagement and Inquiry Based approaches to science deducation. The call it Little Scientists,

welcome to Scientix! Indeed, in the SPICE Communities of Practice there isn't a separate discussion thread on the use of web 2.0 tools in the science classroom.

I added a new topic ICT in IBSME in the Subject category, so you can start one if you want.

Also, the project te@ch.us may be interesting to you. It aims to support Web 2.0 projects in schools and motivate teachers to use web 2.0 tools in classes.

Yes, and as the proposal said, use spoons, pieces of (bottle) glass, etc. Anything is useful.

And this reminds me of a Cuban physicist who gave a talk/workshop once in a meeting, and he used any reflected light as a SOURCE of light. He did some nice experiments that way!!!

After the meeting in Brussels (Nov 2011), we decide to consider the GP proposals that we present at the beginning of Spice Project in order to test them.

If you are interested in use those GPs activities we wlll adapt them.

spice in Portugal

Hi, I'm a Portuguese physics and chemistry teacher and I'm participating with 40 of my students in spice.
My 13 year old students have already done the first activity (optics).
Because I didn't have enough lenses so they can work in groups I went to a glasses store and they were happy to give me a few.
Sometimes we just have to improvise!!!
