    <summary type="html">I think they are also not well represented in Top positions in STEM careers.&lt;br /&gt;It would be interesting have opinion from women scientists and collect info about students.&lt;br /&gt;Sometimes teacher are in contact with students also after the diploma and they follow their life and their career. One reference that I use a lot as a starting point is this one:&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Gender differences in student attitudes toward science: A meta‐analysis of the literature from 1970 to 1991, by M Weinburgh - Journal of Research in Science Teaching, 1995 - Wile. It finds (not unexpectedly) that boys have more positive attitudes toward science than&lt;br /&gt;girls. Many other studies have found that, and it is our task as Science teachers to try to change that fact.&lt;/div&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Thanks Albert! &lt;br /&gt;Science teachers as well media and parents are role models for students. We started a discussion in the same category &amp;#34;women in science&amp;#34;, in &amp;#34;role model&amp;#34; thread.&lt;br /&gt;By the way, done correctly, learning by teaching method is very efficient.     <summary type="html">Hi Carlos&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I found this interesting paper about formative assessment in Science Education. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The paper describe the formative assessment done in some New Zeland classrooms and explore the practice of some science teachers.&lt;br /&gt; It was published  in 2000, in ten years we probably have had some updating about that &lt;img alt="emoticon" src="https://www.scientix.eu/o/scientix-2025-theme/images/emoticons/happy.gif" &gt; But I think the paper could be a good start point to discuss on assessment and inquire about it &lt;img alt="emoticon" src="https://www.scientix.eu/o/scientix-2025-theme/images/emoticons/happy.gif" &gt;</summary>
