EUMETSAT - Minecraft Ocean Satellite Building Competition


Are you interested in satellites and oceans? If yes, then come and join our Minecraft ocean satellite competition and show us what your future satellite could look like

The goal for participants is to build the best model of the Sentinel-3 or Jason-3 ocean-monitoring satellites, or to get creative and design their own satellite and/or ocean monitoring system with buoys, automatic robots etc.

The competition is supported by a dedicated youth education website, the Learning Zone (, which has background information, 3D animations of the satellites, and further supporting information.
