StarT promotes interdisciplinary project-based learning – it puts science and technology into a context that is relevant for students and makes learning both exciting and meaningful. StarT is a long-term project that is organised annually.

StarT’s five-star programme deals with Science, Technology, Art, Career and Future. The project topics in StarT are freely chosen – the only requirement is a connection to one of the themes. Read more about the themes here.

The StarT project promotes collaborative learning by supporting learning communities in the implementation of interdisciplinary project-based learning. In StarT, student teams carry out projects related to science, mathematics and technology. StarT’s five-star programme deals with Science, Technology, Art, Career and Future. The project topics in StarT are freely chosen – the only requirement is a connection to one of the themes. Read more about the themes here.

Ideas and the excitement of learning are shared between and within learning communities through science fair events organised by StarT as well as by the learning communities themselves.

The primary objective of StarT is to implement a new, interdisciplinary and collaborative StarT way of working and thinking that emphasises project-based learning and active collaboration within the learning community.

StarT offers support to the learning communities. For example, a Materials Bank on our website has been developed to support teachers and educators. The Materials Bank contains hundreds of materials for teaching science, mathematics and technology and project learning. We also offer training events for teachers and educators.
