The objective of the DYI science projects should be the creation of a working object that can be used many times. It should not only consist of a scientific experiment.

The projects must be easy to build by non-specialists and by using affordable and available materials. They must be harmless to build and use.

The DIY science projects must have a solely educational purpose. No political or commercial projects are accepted.

The projects included in Do-it-yourSciences are essentially directed towards teachers in search of practical ideas and projects that will allow pupils to gain:

  • A better understanding on scientific matters
  • A better understanding on the world surrounding them through science education
  • A more sensitive awareness of environmental issues
