Is it possible for business students to have environmental knowledge and environmental scientists to have business expertise? Dr Helen Boylan, Dr Alison DuBois and Mr Brian Petrus from Westminster College in the USA believe so. This resource introduces Westminster College’s Environmental Project Management Academy (EPMA), an interdisciplinary programme that sees students collaborating with community stakeholders and integrating knowledge of environmental science, project management and intangible skills with project work on environmental issues relevant to the region. This resource includes profiles of the Dr Boylan, Dr DuBois and Mr Petrus and interviews with students who have participated in the EPMA. It also includes an activity sheet, containing ‘thinking points’ (based on Bloom’s Taxonomy) to prompt students to reflect on the programme and activities that students can do at home or in class.
