This article describes a thematic path through the chapters of the SwissMAP Cosmology and General Relativity course. The parallel between electrical and gravitational interactions introduce pupils semi-quantitatively to the principle of equivalence and the notion of curvature. The notion of deflection angle and gravitational lensing observations (Einstein radius) are also tackled, based on qualitative descriptions and high-school Mathematics and Physics (dimensional analysis, algebra, trigonometry, derivatives, Newton's laws, etc.), with fascinating applications and observational examples such as the Einstein Cross, simulation images and applications to cosmology. The article concludes with interview extracts with pupils who attended the optional Cosmology and GR course, showing how the course raised awareness towards today's astronomy issues and, more globally, the importance of mathematics in physics.
