Resource type: lesson plan
Author: Lorena Elena Olaru
This resource is one of the 36 Scientix lesson plans that were developed during the “STEM Is Everywhere!” MOOC, the first ever online course funded and carried out exclusively by Scientix and hosted on the EUN Academy. The course aimed to connect Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) classes with “real life” and supported teachers in integrating real-world problems into their STEM lessons and practices. In this lesson, students will investigate details related to the weather of their hometown. They are expected to work collaboratively in order to collect and analyse real-time or archived data, such as air pressure, temperature, precipitation, wind and humidity. They will also investigate how local geography, especially land and water differences, can influence the weather conditions in their area.
