302 top researchers receive 585 million Euros

The European Research Council (ERC) has awarded 302 mid-career researchers for their contributions to the 2015 Consolidator Grant competition. They receive a total amount of 585 million Euros, funded as part of the Horizon 2020 programme for research and innovation.

New video and coding contests: Think Big, Think Ocean

28 per cent of the world's researchers are women

Gender parity varies a lot from one country to another. A new interactive Web tool shows the distribution of women in research-related careers all across the world. One in five countries has managed to reach the level in which women compose 45 to 55 per cent of the research population.

Educating the educators: An upcoming conference in Freiburg

Eight finalists up for the 2016 MEDEA Awards

Game-based themes in the classroom
