A new course on the use of online laboratories

The Go-Lab project recently launched a new Massive Online Open Course (MOOC) for science teachers and anyone else with an interest in science subjects. By participating in and completing this course, they will learn more about online laboratories and how they can support inquiry-based teaching and learning scenarios.

Learn how to construct exam questions that assess scientific thinking

A new Distance Learning Activity (DLA), organised as part of the Amgen Teach project from 29 February to 4 March 2016, introduces teachers to methods that can be applied to assess scientific skills and thinking. This is an intensive online learning session, which includes webinars, discussions, video presentations, access to useful documents and podcasts, among other things.

Funds raised for disadvantaged primary-school children's trip to a Space Research Centre

Forty pupils aged six to nine from Jaslo, Poland, now have the opportunity to go on a study trip to the Space Research Centre at the Polish Academy of Sciences in Warsaw, due to a successful crowdfunding initiative of the Global for Local programme, which is supported by the Galileo Teacher Training Programme (GTTP).
