Let’s Talk Science is an award-winning charitable organisation providing engaging, evidence-based STEM programmes for more than 25 years at no cost for Canadian youth and educators. On their website everyone can access a collection of free digital offerings prepared to support learning through STEM. This includes for instance numerous webinars and education resources, such as a new STEM at Home section with activities for caregivers, families and youth, and career exploration contests in which students can earn prizes while they learn about STEM careers.

Scientix is launching a call for its external evaluator

Scientix 4 is looking for an external evaluator with relevant experience in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) education to carry out an independent evaluation of the Scientix 4 conference, the project management and final deliverables. The expert should be based in European Union countries or any Horizon 2020 associated countries. The deadline for receipt of applications is 17:00 CET, 15th June 2020.

The non-profit initiative “Leonardo 4 Children 2020: Climate Action” invites children and young people to follow his example, combine science with arts and, this year, address the issue of climate change. What puts girls off computer science?

The CODING4GIRLS project addresses the gap between male and female participation in computer science education and careers by introducing early methodological learning interventions that make computer science attractive to everyone. In this effort, the project’s partners introduce interventions that target various factors that put girls off computer science. The main goal is to attract more girls to computer science by increasing their awareness of the rich possibilities for professional and personal growth that computer science offers, and preparing them for future engagement in computer-science careers.
