Project ADA stands for the complex interplay of technology and humankind. All activities are designed to foster critical reflection on the design and usage of the digital technology, which we at the Faculty of Informatics of TU Wien are co-creating.
Project ALIEN aims to improve the quality of higher education by providing more motivating, stimulating and effective learning contexts based on active learning and problem-based learning that prepare students for their professional life through the development of industry-desired competences.
Scientix, with Amgen Teach and the STEM Alliance, is launching a comprehensive international survey on teachers’ practices and use of educational technologies during the COVID-19 pandemic. The survey, which is addressed to teachers in primary and secondary education (students aged 3 to 19), is available in 24 languages and its results will be used to draft a Scientix Observatory paper.
The Directorate-General for Research and Innovation of the European Commission has published two reports on the achievements of the science education projects funded under the Science with and for Society (SwafS) part of Horizon 2020. The European Union in Horizon 2020 supported 150 projects, including Scientix, with 462 million euros in order to strengthen citizen science, and 50 more projects are expected to stem from the final calls under Horizon 2020.
