The annual Astronomy Camps of the European Southern Observatory (ESO) take place at the Astronomical Observatory of the Autonomous Region of the Aosta Valley, in Italy. Participants in this camp explore the universe’s cosmic distance ladder during several astronomical sessions, including lectures, hands-on activities and night-time observations using the observatory’s telescopes, in addition to various social activities, winter sports and excursions.
Students aged 16 to 18 can apply for the 2017 edition of this astronomy camp, which takes place from 26 December 2017 to 1 January 2018.
