Type of event: training (face-to-face)

Target groups: teachers

Topic: STEM Education

The next step in human space exploration is to further explore our natural satellite and build a permanent base on the Moon. How will this future Moon infrastructure be constructed? One possibility is to 3D print it!

This ESA Education teacher training online course in collaboration with Airbus Foundation, on the topic of "3D design in education" will introduce the 3D design software Tinkercad, its use in education and relate it to space applications. The course will last 4 hours, divided into 2 sessions between 19 and 26 January, from 16.30 to 18.30 CET

This training will also help you see how to further explore the topic of the 3D design with your students by joining the Moon Camp Challenge, an educational school project run by ESA and Airbus Foundation in collaboration with Autodesk, where students 3D design their own lunar shelter adapted to the harsh environmental conditions on the Moon. You can register until 10 January in this page.
