INTERACT is an infrastructure project, a circumarctic network of currently 83 terrestrial field bases in northern Europe, Russia, US, Canada, Greenland, Iceland, the Faroe Islands and Scotland as well as stations in northern alpine areas. INTERACT specifically seeks to build capacity for research and monitoring in the European Arctic and beyond, and is offering access to numerous research stations through the Transnational Access program. INTERACT project also offers educational materials for teachers, allowing to introduce Arctic topics into school practice. During this seminar, you will get familiar with tool-kit dedicated to PERMAFROST, especially in context of climate change. Permafrost is an indicator of ongoing processes, underestimaded threat to our future, but also a priceless source of knowledge. We will present teaching materials in a nutshell, worksheets, online activities, experiments, animations and detailed lesson plans. Special focus is on research methods and activities, especially practical use of scientific data.
