About the presenter:

Massimo Caine works as communications officer for the academic lab-based interface “BiOutils”. The mission of this platform is to provide material, support and experimental advice for the teaching of modern experimental biology in schools. In 2015, Massimo founded a platform of science communication called “TheScienceBreaker”. As a partner of the University of Geneva, its mission is that of promoting and supporting the democratization of scientific literacy. Through a simple and innovative approach, the platform promotes (i) the diffusion of solid and rigorous scientific literacy among the laypeople and (ii) the possibility for scientist to reach out of their laboratories, getting directly involved in communicating their research to the broad public. Altogether, these features make TheScienceBreaker a powerful and innovative link between academics and the general public, seeking to promote the democratisation of scientific literacy.
