Space awareness in European schools mapped

How much emphasis is placed on space and astronomy in European curricula? The Space Awareness initiative, in which European Schoolnet is a partner, plans to shed light on that subject, by collecting information about countries' curricula and entry-points for space-related topics.

University programme to get students "hooked" on science

Queensland University of Technology opens its doors to trainee teachers and visiting students to get them excited about science and maths from an early stage. The university's programme, called Step Up, responds to a foreseeable shortage of teachers with a background in science-related subjects or mathematics.
