The 3rd Scientix Conference takes place in Brussels, Belgium, from 4 to 6 May 2018.
Around 350 teachers, policymakers, researchers and project managers are expected to participate in the conference, thus being one of the major networking events in Europe this year.
This 3rd Scientix Conference is a unique opportunity to learn more about different science education projects in Europe, get to know the people behind these projects, and share your expertise, knowledge and best practices with your peers. Hence, this event provides an excellent overview of the current state of affairs in science education in Europe and the possibilities that the Scientix community can bring about.
The participation will be free of charge and all meals from Friday night to Sunday lunch will be covered by Scientix. Moreover, Scientix organises and covers the accommodation (Friday 4 May and Saturday 5 May 2018) for up to 320 participants.
How to participate:
- Call for papers now open. Deadline to submit proposal for presentations (56), posters (25), stands for projects (20) and hands-on workshops (14) is: 19 March 2018. Authors will be notified of successful proposals no later than 6 April 2018.
- By invitation: a number of places are reserved for Ministries of Education, officials of the European Commission, Scientix National Contact Points, industry representatives and Scientix Ambassadors.
- General places: Anybody interested in attending the conference, is welcome to submit an expression of interest before the end of March 2018. Between the 9 and 11 of April, 2018, approximately 40 places will be offered to STEM education stakeholders that express their interest in attending the conference. The selection of participants will be done as to ensure a fair country distribution, subject, profile, etc. Scientix and European Schoolnet's decision will be final.
