Type of event: уебинар
Целеви групи: учители
Тема: STEM Education
Language of event: английски
This webinar series, co-organised by the STEM Alliance, Scientix, Texas Instruments and T3 Europe, will take place online on Thursday, 10 June 2021 at 17:00 CEST and Thursday, 17 June 2021 at 17:00 CEST. The series will consist of two separate webinars:
- Computational Thinking with Python in Maths – June 10
Challenge students to solve and explore problems by coding and executing logical algorithms, helping them to understand mathematical concepts which are often the fundaments of our surrounding digital world. Based on specific examples, we will show how mathematics and Python coding can be complementary and how computational thinking fits into the maths curriculum.
- Physical Computing with Python in the classroom – June 17
With Python coding in combination with a microcontroller, you can easily bring the basics of physical computing into the classroom and let students interact with the real world. Physical computing motivates students to explore and to get a notion of scientific concepts such as light, sound, heat, etc. Students will be able to design feedback and control systems, to get data out an experiment, to analyse the data and to decide on the appropriate actions to be taken. One of the examples which will be demonstrated is a Pet Car Alarm.
